removing smoke smell from furniture

What are the chances of eliminating the smell of smoke from antique leather furniture, etc?

We recently lost our house fire, but he stopped in three rooms and we get a lot of things. The smell of smoke is terrible in most of it. I have an old sewing machine, among other antiquities that have great sentimental value, but I have no idea as how to eliminate the odor without causing more damage.
