Why the Army Reserve suck so much?
I was in the reserve army of 6 years. I had a good experience with training Basic and AIT, even leaving it with some friends, but then everything went downhill. I am a mechanical wheel light for a headquarters detachment, and each order week we, and rarely, if ever, do something meaningful. We sat around half a day of talking and smoking cigarettes out of our reservation. Maybe two times a year to go to the shooting range. We leave for our 2 week FTX and sit in the woods doing almost nothing, perhaps the course of the compass from time to time, or the establishment or rupture of a store. I was mobilized and sent to Kuwait with the unit and our unit was assigned MISSION NO. We are literally sitting in our field do nothing most days, at times, making details like filling BS hand sanitizer and toilet paper work! Now I'm supposed Back to the inactive reserve list, and my papers was delayed for 2 months. What should I do? I'm so tired.
