Can I use a waffle iron, electric car battery?

If you can connect a gamecube in power cigarette lighter adapter and run without difficulty, can do the same with a Waring Pro waffle iron? I can not find the amperage or the Gamecube or waffle, but I can not believe that a simple waffle attracts a lot of energy.
